Ralph Loehr , Age 92

January 29, 1928 --November 11, 2020

Ralph E. Loehr, 92, of Reedsburg, WI passed away on November 11, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his devoted wife, daughters and dog, Hooch.

Ralph was born in the Township of Calumet to Louis Loehr and Jennie (nee Goggins) Loehr. He served in the army and was stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict. On July 9, 1955 he married Lucille Heimerman at St. Marys Catholic Church in Marytown, WI.

His independent nature led him to form his own successful company, Fire Apparatus & Equipment, selling fire trucks. Ralph helped form the Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department and his leadership ability led him to be the Fire Chief for 20 years. He dedicated his life to service of the Town of Fond du Lac.

Ralph loved to travel and share experiences with Ceil in their RV. He spent a lot of time in his workshop after his retirement planning new projects, looking for new tools and equipment, and "fixing things". He will always be remembered and admired by his family for his leadership, intelligence, and confidence in his ability to handle any problem.

He is survived in life by his wife of 65 years, Lucille Loehr and his five daughters: Patricia Buechel, Laurie (William) Ryan, Jeanne (Christopher) Tackett, Christine (Thomas) Mael, and Katherine (Daniel) Bullock, and 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael Joseph, his parents, and his brothers George (Cecilia) Loehr and Lester Loehr.

Due to current pandemic circumstances, services will be limited to immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to any of the following organizations: St. Jude Research Hospital www.stjude.com, Wounded Warriors Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org, St Joseph Catholic Church, Baraboo, WI www.baraboocatholic.org. My deepest regrets on the loss of one of life's true gentlemen. Ceil, you are on my mind quite often with fond remembrances of how kind and inviting both you and Ralph were to me. Chris, as always - much love. Wishing you all peace and the ability to find joy in your memories <3

Dear Ceil and Family, I'm so sorry to read about Ralph's passing and send you and your family (including Hooch who I'm sure I would love) my very best wishes. I think about you and the time I spent in your home so often. It was a very special time for me that I will never forget. You and Spanky were two of my favorite people. I'm sure Ralph will be missed -- he certainly was a presence. God Bless, Peace + Love, Donna
